So, how do you protect yourself from Coronavirus?
Just like any other common virus, coronavirus also spread through respiratory droplets. Suppose, If a person is already infected and sneezes or coughs in front of you then the droplet is more likely to get transmitted through air, likewise if he/she touches any objects after coughing or sneezing then the person who comes in contact with the object is at a high risk of getting infected by Coronavirus, therefore the following precautions are a must to prevent it,
1. Wash Your Hands
The most important thing you should do to prevent coronavirus is by washing your hands properly. It’s the thing you do daily but you should wash your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water or you can use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer in case water isn’t available
Practicing this good personal hygiene every day not only prevents the spread of infectious Coronavirus but any kind of respiratory illness. It is one of the best ways to keep yourself safe from COVID-19.
2. Practice Social Distancing
Always try to maintain 3 feet of distance from the person who is sneezing or coughing because the droplets emitted from the nose or mouth may contain the deadly COVID-19 and if you are close enough, you can inhale it and get infected by the virus.
Else you should stay at home unless its too urgent to go out, that way you can prevent yourself from getting infected by others.
3. Avoid Touching Eyes, Nose And Mouth
If you happen to go out for work, grocery shopping or anything you may come in contact with many objects and your hands might get contaminated by virus hence, when you touch your eyes, nose or mouth the virus can easily get into your body, therefore avoid making such mistake and if you do, make sure you wash your hands with soap or sanitize it properly.
4. Consult A Doctor If You Have Fever, Cough, And Difficulty In Breathing
If you are ill then it's better that you stay at home. In case you have a fever, cough and breathing difficulty then immediately seek medical help. This might not be necessarily a COVID-19 infection symptom but having it checked well in time can prevent the spread of viruses and other infections.
5. Boost Your Immune System
The best way to prevent any kind of infection or disease is by strengthening the immune system. Strong immunity acts as a shield and helps to fight off any kind of pathogens or bacteria and ultimately protects from falling sick.
